Sem grafični oblikovalec in tipograf z več kot dvajsetletno prakso, diplomiral na Fakulteti za arhitekturo v Ljubljani (1998) in magistriral na Central Saint Martins v Londonu (2000).
Ustanovitelj in vodja oblikovalske prakse Aparat type&design (2001), soustanovitelj Zavoda Trajekt, večkratni mentor na mednarodnih tipografskih delavnicah Tipo Brda in član ATypI; govorec na konferenci v Barceloni (2014).
Za svoje oblikovalske stvaritve prejmem nacionalna priznanja (Najlepša slovenska knjiga 2008, Priznanja odličnosti BVSS 2005, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2022 in Pohvala žirije BVSS 2015).
Sem profesor za področje oblikovanje vizualnih komunikacij na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje, Univerze v Ljubljani. Med študenti se počutim odlično, še posebej kadar je govora o tipografiji in črkovnih vrstah − področju moje prakse in raziskav.
Kar slišim tu in tam čivknem in kar opazim, tu in tam objavim.
I am a graphic designer and typographer practicing the discipline for more than twenty years, graduated at Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana (1998) and completed my master degree at London’s Central Saint Martins (2000).
A founder of a graphic design practice Aparat type&design (2001), co-founder of the institute for the spatial culture Zavod Trajekt, a regular mentor at international typeface design workshops Tipo Brda and an ATypI member: a speaker at the Barcelona conference (2014).
I was awarded nationally (Most Beautiful Slovene Book in 2008, Certificate of Excellence BVSS 2005, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2022 and The Jury Commendation BVSS 2015).
I am a professor of visual communication at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana. I feel excellent among the students particularly when we talk about typography and typefaces – my practice and research field.
